Vintage Genny Alpaca Blend Cape c. 1980

475.00

*MINT* Vintage Condition (With original tag). This is a rich and striking piece, one that could liven up any given dreary day. The fabric content consisting of Alpaca, Cashmere and a small amount of wool with a quilted iridescent rayon lining. The current size that it is comparable to is a 6/8. Although it is without the authentic Genny label, it is no doubt a Genny original. A bit of Gianni Versace /Dolce & Gabbanna influence? Or could it be the Christian Lacroix Pink?

ABOUT GENNY...

The first plant rises in 1968. Another year that marks a historic moment in the life of the brand is 1973, when a young Gianni Versace - destined to enter the Olympus of Italian fashion - becomes Genny’s fashion designer. Several talented ones will take turns in the decades to follow: Claude Montana, Keith Varty, Alan Cleaver, Dolce and Gabbana, Christian Lacroix, Rebecca Moses, John Bartlett, Richard Tyler and Josephus Thimister.
